National Schedule of Rates (NSR) Tasks

Introduction

Flow360 has embedded within it the National Schedule of Rates from NSR Management. (http://www.nsrmanagement.co.uk)

The National Schedule of Rates

The National Schedule of Rates are in use throughout the whole of the UK, helping hundreds of organisation in both the public and private sector manage and maintain their diverse property needs.

The National Schedule of Rates allow customers to issue a series of works orders, showing the breakdown of materials, plant and labour, confident that the charges are based on pre-determined and agreed basis of measurement and pricing.

They have also become an invaluable tool for benchmarking and ensuring that planned maintenance agreements are operated as cost effectively as possible.

Tasks in Flow360

The NSR tasks in Flow360 follow the same structure as in the NSR itself i.e. a number of composite tasks, each with one or more component elements with each element's costs broken down into materials, labour and plant.

As soon as an NSR task is allocated to a resource object and cost centre the NSR costs attached to it will be used in the cost projections relating to task costs for that resource. This allows you to set up a detailed maintenace schedule and have accurate costings applied to it even before you go out to tender for rates from service providers.

Tasks are categorised following the NSR categorisation scheme into a main work type category and one or more sub-categories. This facilitates the use of task filters within Flow360 to easily find a subset of tasks or works orders for a particular category and sub-category of work.

Other tasks added either by users or by admin follow the same pattern.
