Schools will benefit from inclusion in the scheme by way of a reduction in energy bills. The Carbon Reduction Commitment is a statutory, mandatory scheme coming in to operation in October 2009 and schools are included.
The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) has been designed to encourage the uptake of energy efficiency measures by leveraging financial and reputational drivers.
Under CRC, the Local Authority would have an incentive to offer energy management advice and services to schools in order to secure a higher place in the CRC league table. Schools will benefit from inclusion in the scheme by way of a reduction in energy bills. Request report
